For iPhone and iPad
A digital cribbage board
Muggins is only the board. You play with a real deck and count your own hands. The app keeps the score.
How Muggins works
-
Deal your real cards
Muggins doesn't deal and doesn't referee. You bring the deck, shuffle, and count your own hands, the same as ever.
-
Pull the knob to peg
When you score, pull the knob and your peg moves up the board. It works like the wooden board you grew up with, minus the pegs that go missing.
-
First to 121 wins
No accounts and nothing to set up. Open the app and it's a board: play to 121, then deal the next game.
Three boards, one table
Classic cream card stock, casino green felt, or a dark obsidian glow. Switch themes mid-game without losing the score.
Questions people ask
Does Muggins deal cards or score my hand?
No. Muggins is a scorekeeper, not a cribbage game. You deal, you count, and the app pegs what you tell it. Still learning to count? Our guide to scoring a cribbage hand walks through every combination.
Is there an Android version?
No. Muggins is an iOS app for iPhone and iPad, iOS 17 or later.
Is Muggins free?
Yes. Muggins is free to download on the App Store.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts and no sign-ups: open Muggins and start pegging.
Prefer something for the fridge?
Our free cribbage printables pair well with the board: a scoring cheat sheet, a one-page rules card, and a score sheet, each a print-ready PDF.
